Terms of Use
OwnFrame is operated from Germany, so the German legal text is the binding version. The English text below is a convenience translation.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the website ownframe.de and its build platform. The operator is the provider named in the imprint. Use is free and most areas need no account. Paid add-ons of the desktop app are subject to separate terms shown at purchase.
2. Unofficial fan project
OwnFrame is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Digital Extremes. Warframe is a trademark of Digital Extremes Ltd. Your Warframe account is subject to Digital Extremes' terms. Whether and how you use third-party software alongside the game is your decision and at your own risk; we cannot make any commitment on behalf of Digital Extremes.
3. Account
Publishing, editing and voting on builds requires an account through an external sign-in provider. You are responsible for activity under your account. Your display name must not infringe third-party rights or impersonate anyone.
4. Your content
Builds, guides and display names you publish are publicly visible. You keep your rights and grant us a simple, free licence, limited to the duration of publication, to display this content on the website and in the OwnFrame app and to process it technically for that purpose. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights. You can delete your builds in your account at any time.
5. Prohibited content
- illegal, abusive, hateful or harassing content,
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or personal rights of others,
- spam, advertising for third-party offers and links to malware,
- instructions for or links to cheats, bots or account sales.
6. Reporting content and moderation
You can report a build with "Report build" on its page or by email to support@ownframe.de. Please state the build code and why you believe the content breaks the law or these terms. This address is also our point of contact for users and authorities; you can reach us there in German and English.
We review reports carefully and decide case by case. We may remove content and suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations. Where we can reach them, we inform affected users of the decision and the reasons for it. You can object to a decision by email to the same address; your right to legal action remains unaffected.
7. Availability and data
We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee any specific availability. Features may change or be removed. Game data, prices and calculated values may be wrong or out of date.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body and health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability for slight negligence is otherwise excluded.
9. Changes and governing law
We may adapt these terms when features or the law change; the date below shows the current version. German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
