First steps

OwnFrame runs as a desktop app on Windows, built on Overwolf. This guide takes you from installation to your first open overlay.

1. Install Overwolf

OwnFrame is an Overwolf app. If you don't use Overwolf yet, download and install the free Overwolf client.

2. Install OwnFrame

Install OwnFrame from the download page — Overwolf distributes updates automatically, so you never update manually.

3. Create an account

An account is optional but recommended: it saves your builds and settings and lets you restore your data at any time. Sign-in happens directly in the app.

4. Open the overlay

Start Warframe and open OwnFrame from the Overwolf bar. The overlay docks next to the game — HUD and detail windows can be positioned freely.
